Refuse to worry!

Today's Scripture

"Who of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?" (Matthew 6:27)

Today's Word

Worrying gives the devil the opportunity to move, just like worship gives God the opportunity to move. Worrying means to play the enemy's lies in your mind, over and over again. God promises in Isaiah 26:3 that He will keep us in perfect peace when we keep our minds stayed on Him. So when the opportunity to worry comes, use it as a reminder to worship the Lord and thank Him for His good and precious promises! Cast all of your cares on the Lord, because He cares for you!  And when people try and sow seeds of "gloom and doom", regardless of their intentions, disconnect that "gloom and doom" line and pick up a line of "encouragement" from the Word (The Bible).

A Prayer for Today

God, I am weary from worrying. Please help me to stop the soundtrack of needless worry that plays over and over again in my head. I want to place my fears and concerns in Your hands and live in peace knowing that You will fulfill all of your precious promises to me. In Jesus' name - Amen.

Follow God to victory

Today's Scripture

"Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him." (II Corinthians 2:14)

Today's Word

Have you ever noticed that Satan always chooses just the right time to attack you? When you haven't had enough rest, when you haven't been spending time daily with the Lord, when the demands on your time and energy seem overwhelming – that's when the enemy tries to pull the rug out from under you.
The good news is – even that rug is under God's feet. And God always has victory in mind! He will never allow Satan to discourage you without a plan for your ultimate success! We may not always choose to follow Christ to victory, but He is always leading the way!
God wants to give you the victory because He loves you, and because it will be a testimony to His goodness for all to see. Choose today to rise up and take authority over any area of your life that's keeping you in defeat. Be aggressive. Be on the offensive. Stay focused and determined, and God will take you places you've never dreamed of. Claim His promises of joy and abundance with confidence and rejoice in the triumph that God has in store for you today!

A Prayer for Today

God, even when I am under fire from the enemy I will rise up and claim victory over sin and defeat with You by my side. Thank you for leading me toward a life of joy and abundance. I will faithfully follow Your direction. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Expect God's Best!

Today's Scripture

"In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." (Psalm 5:3)

Today's Word

A dear friend of mine recently reminded me that our God is a god of "Suddenlies!"  I recalled all of the miracles I have seen in many of my friends and families lives.  Do you know that God can suddenly break an addiction. He can suddenly heal your body. He can suddenly give you that promotion. When you keep your heart open, expectant, and filled with faith, it gives God something to work with. In the same way Jesus turned the five loaves of bread and two fish into lunch for 5,000 men (Matthew 14:17), God will take your faith in Him and turn it into the provision you need!
The enemy's goal is to steal your hope. He wants to get you down and discouraged so you will give up and settle for less than God's best. Don't be deceived! No matter how many disappointments you've encountered, God can turn things around for you in a split second of time! One touch of His favor can suddenly restore relationships! One touch of His goodness can solve that problem you're facing today! Just one touch from Almighty God can instantly change your life!

A Prayer for Today

God, each day I come before You with my joys, my concerns, my praises, and my requests. I will wait patiently and expectantly for Your answer. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Give and you shall Receive

Today's Scripture

"God desires above all, that we prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers." (John 3:2)

Today's Word

God wants you to live a life of victory. He wants you to prosper physically, spiritually, emotionally– in every area of life. God also wants you to prosper financially to fulfill the destiny He's laid out before you.
One of the main hindrances to prosperity is selfishness. If you live life focused only on your wants and needs, you won't be able to experience God's best. Galatians 6:7 says, "Whatsoever a man sows that he will also reap." In other words, in order to prosper, you must learn to be a giver. You must give of your time, energy, and resources. Just like a farmer, you must be ready and willing to plant good seeds in order to receive a good harvest. Ask the Lord to show you today how to plant the seeds of love, time, and finances you hold in your hand. Begin to plant those seeds by simply giving to others, and soon you will see the Lord's abundant harvest of blessings

A Prayer for Today

God, it is my honor to give to others in Your name. I am blessed with so many gifts and I know that I am called to share them. My time, my talents, my resources all come from above. I will look for ways to bless others and plant the seeds of a bountiful harvest. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dare to be Different

Today's Scripture

"By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith." (Hebrews 11:7).

Today's Word

One of our favorite Bible heroes dared to be different. He wasn't afraid to stand out in the crowd. He cared far more what God thought about him than what the people around him were thinking. He was obedient to the Lord even when – literally – everyone else was corrupt.

With a broken heart, the Heavenly Father decided to destroy the world and all the depraved human beings who lived in it, except for one man of integrity and excellence. "Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God" (Genesis 6:9). Only Noah.

How about you? Even if you were the only person on earth who believed in Jesus Christ as Savior, would you still follow Him? How about if you were the only one in your school? Or the only person at your office?

Perhaps you know how Noah felt. Maybe you are the only Christian in your family, at work, or at your school. Do your friends make fun of you because of what you believe? Let me encourage you to do what Noah did. He stayed focused on his purpose, and refused to listen to those who would dissuade him. Because of his faithfulness he and his family were spared. Because of your faithfulness, God will pour his blessing out on you!

A Prayer for Today

God, I will stand strong and won't let others influence me to do the wrong thing, and live the wrong way. Like Noah, I will remain faithful to You. I will dare to be different—at home, at work, at school, at play. In Jesus' name, Amen.
