Who's Your Agitator?

Today's Scripture

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you.
1 Peter 4:12

Today's Word

When adversity comes knocking at the door or calamities occur, some people immediately think they have done something wrong, that God surely must be punishing them. They don’t understand that God has a divine purpose for every challenge that comes into our lives. He doesn’t send problems, but sometimes He allows us to go through them.

Why is that? The Bible says temptations, trials, and difficulties must come, because if we are to strengthen our spiritual muscles and grow stronger, we must have adversities to overcome and attacks to resist. Trials are intended to test our character, to test our faith. If you will learn to cooperate with God and be quick to change and correct the areas He brings to light, then you’ll pass that test and be promoted to a new level.

God often allows you to go through difficult situations to draw out those impurities in your character. You can pray and resist it, but it’s not going to do any good. God is more interested in changing you than He is in changing the circumstances. He will put people and circumstances in your path that grate on you like sandpaper, but He will use them to rub off your rough edges. You may not always like it; you may want to run from it; you may even resist it, but God is going to keep bringing up the issue again and again until you pass the test.

A Prayer for Today

Dear God, some days just seem so hard, then, while in Your Word I realize it’s because I forget my life is completely in Your hands and my struggles are because of my re-action to things that really matter not in the grand scope of things. Thank You for protecting me over and over again, showing me the way to go and how to overcome adversity. You’re love is bigger than any circumstance in my life and I know it well. Thanks for TODAY. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Live Right

Today's Scripture

In that day the wolf and the lamb will lie down together, and the leopard and goats will be at peace. Calves and fat cattle will be safe among lions, and a little child shall lead them all. (Isaiah 11:6)

Today's Word

God designed and created you to live a life filled with purpose not gloom and doom. So, how are you going to spend the rest of today? You can if you so choose, but that's not living God's intended purpose for your life, that's why so many are so miserable and confused today, always looking for happiness here, there and everywhere and never really finding it.
