The Secret to True Prosperity

Today’s Scripture

For if you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use to give-- large or small-- will be used to measure what is given back to you. Luke 6:38

Today’s Word

Within you lies the seed to prosperity. God has planted gifts, talents, ideas and opportunities that can change your life and the lives of those around you.

You may have the gift to use your hands as a tradesman, or the skill of a surgeon or artist. You may have the gift of leadership or that of a servant; maybe you even have the gift to be a missionary or teacher. Whatever your gift you can be sure of this, you’ll discover it ministering to the needs of others. Then as you continue meeting the need your own needs shall be fulfilled.

Think about it. Someone needs what you have. That’s a gift.

A Prayer for Today

Dear God, help me to discover Your gift to others which You have placed in me. Then, help me to plant my seed in sharing that gift with others. I know that You have given me the seed to plant today that tomorrow I shall reap the harvest. Thank You Father for giving me all I need to live a truly prosperous life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Don't Get Distracted

Today’s Scripture

From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do. Isaiah 46:11 – NIV

Today’s Word

When you allow distractions to change your focus, you forfeit the power of your purpose.

In each of us God has placed the power of His intention; it is the power of His unique and Holy Spirit, like none other. Each day you have a choice, shall I get up and keep chipping away at my destiny or shall I stay where I am and let blessings and opportunities pass me by? The decision is really within you.

Make the decision today to follow God’s plan for your life and you too will experience blessing heaped upon blessing, poverty turned into riches, sickness turned into healing and slander turned to praise.

Don’t let small-minded and unimportant trivia waste your time, gifts and talents, stay focused and you too will succeed in your purpose.

A Prayer for Today

Dear God, keep my eyes focused on Your plan for my life and do not allow me to drift-off with distractions which are intended to keep me from my blessings. Help me to stay pure, true and acceptable in Your eyes and give me wisdom that I may be an effective instrument in Your hand. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Give A Little - Get A Little

Today’s Scripture

God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

Today’s Word

You get a little when you give a little. It’s that simple. God is looking to bless those who not only worship Him watching TV evangelists, reading the Bible all day long or using “religious” words in every other sentence; or going to church every Sunday. He is looking to double what you have given, from Him to others, every time you release the blessing. In other words, when you release favor to others, you’re actually releasing favor unto yourself.

God has blessed you as Tradesmen, Attorney’s, Physicians, Builders, Investors, Housekeepers, Bakers, Gardeners, Nurses, Auto Repairmen and Fishermen. Without His pre-ordained anointing over your life; you couldn’t get out of bed in the morning. While it is true that God has blessed you to prosper, He also, and foremost, has blessed you to bless others, that’s why we have the “Tithe”. God requires your first fruit. In short, His mission comes first and it is intended to help the needs of others, in doing so you are “priming-the-pump” to bless yourself, because God finds favor with a cheerful giver.

Have you used what God has given you to bless another today, or are you still waiting for the increase?

A Prayer for Today

Dear God, all that I have is Yours, all I know is Yours, and in putting You and my service to You first, I am truly blessed. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Valley Days

Today's Scripture

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

A Word for Today

How do you remain faith-filled when everything seems to be going wrong? Trust is key in any relationship. When there is no trust you are hesitant to believe anything you are told and trust is lost generally when someone has either misled you or simply not followed through as promised.

In Psalm 23 David is quoted as saying, “Even when walking through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.” David obviously was going through something when he refers to “The Valley”, yet he appears determined to look to the positive and reassure himself “no weapon formed against me is going to prosper” or “greater is he who is in me; then he who is in the world.” Saint Paul wrote, “Faith comes by hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.”

I want to encourage you TODAY to use what God has given you, His Word, when you find yourself in “The Valley”. And remember, the great news about Psalm 23 is David never said he stayed in the valley; it says he was “walking through the valley”. So friend, when things seem to be going wrong keep moving, put your trust in God, and you’ll soon be beyond those moments of challenge.

Remember: God said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5.

A Prayer for Today

Dear God, Your Word is a “Lamp-Light” to my feet, it lights my path. How well I know that Your goodness and mercy have been with me from the beginning of time. I thank You by trusting Your every Word and I put all of my hope in You and You alone. Thank you for always bringing me through the “Valley Days”. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

True Prosperity

Today's Scripture

If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed but skill will bring success. Eccl 10:10 - NIV

Today's Word

Recently I had the privilege of having dinner with several extremely wealthy and influential believers. Although they differed in appearance, opinion and profession one thing remained constant amongst them. Not one of these multi billionaires ever set out to be rich “financially”. What they all shared was (1) they set out to do what they loved doing the most, (2) they just wanted to make an honest living and put food on the table; (3) money was never an issue regarding their motives, (4) and each one worked every day of their life, even now.

If money is your passion, your answer to “true” wealth or you believe it will satisfy you, your problems or give you peace in life you might want to consider the advice from those whom have traveled that road before you. Each has found their peace in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. None were “religious” individuals, but all confessed that their “true prosperity” had nothing to do with money at all, they found all they needed living a purpose-driven life.

Don’t let money be the issue in your life; you can lose it in so many ways. But when you acquire “true prosperity” as an heir to God’s Kingdom, then will you be secure in your future and realize real wealth and all you need will come your way.

A Prayer for Today

Dear God, You have given me more than enough, now teach me how to live a life of “true prosperity”. You have provided all of my needs and for all You continue to do I am eternally grateful. I will show You my heart-filled gratitude by the way I believe, trust and live this life You have given to me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Time To Prune

Today’s Scripture

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1

Today’s Word

There are times that you just have to let go if you’re ever going to grow. Certain people, situations, relationships and habits may be holding you back from your full-potential, don’t let obstacles or attitudes get in your way.

I recall as a child my mother having an old rose bush in the front yard. Each year that old rose bush seemed to look the same. It would bloom with a few flowers, but the bush itself was kind of scrawny and unhealthy looking. One day my grandfather came to visit, taking out a pair of clippers, he showed my mother that if she would cut the bush back, eliminating some of the dead branches, the bush would grow fuller, taller and become much healthier. The next season we had the most beautiful rose bush in the neighborhood.

If you seem to constantly be fighting the same battle, feeling bad every time you see someone, having the same old worries, struggling with the same old habits or spending most of your time apologizing, feeling guilty, owned, unappreciated and disrespected over and over again to the point you’re feeling wilted, chances are you need to do some pruning in your life and let go of certain habits or relationships before you end up looking like my mothers old rose bush.

Remember: If something or someone is holding you back from being all that God created you to be, recognize it and do something about it, or you’ll stay stunted year after year. It’s time to bloom, there’s a champion inside of you just waiting to blossom.

A Prayer for Today

Dear God, show me what needs to be eliminated from my life so that I may become all that You created me to be. Give me the wisdom and strength to prune certain habits and relationships which will allow me to grow as You intended. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
